Bowling

Bowling

Last night was bowling night, not for me but for my partner in crime.  His weekly bowling league started up again for the year.  Sometimes I go and cheer him on.  I have thought about joining but bowling just isn’t my thing.  I am lucky if I score 100.

It is fun to go and hang out and not just because he buys me drinks and chicken wings!  The league is made up of the nicest bunch of people you could possibly meet.  They greet me with friendly hugs every time I show up and it’s so nice to catch up with everybody.  If anyone is thinking of joining a bowling team, the league at the Playdium is the environment you are looking for!

After hugs and drinks and wings, and bowling of course, we all retire to the Bear’s Den, which is the name of the bar at the Playdium.  It’s like the after party of bowling.  Our bartender takes good care of us, sometimes refilling our drinks before we even give her the nod.

Some nights are full of games of pool but last night we stuck to reminiscing 1970’s soft rock on the juke box.  It’s not a karaoke bar but we all belted out familiar songs by Bread in unison.

And I would give anything I own.
I’d give up my life, my heart, my home.
I would give everything I own,
Just to have you back again.

Some college kids came into the bar for drinks and just ignored us over in the corner, but it was clear who was having more fun!
